Summary/Abstract: In the globalized market and increased competition, the increase in the range of products and services has given customers a choice, and customers are interested in the environmental impact of the company's activities in addition to product quality and price. Corporate social responsibility includes voluntary activities undertaken by businesses that go beyond legal expectations and improve social and environmental well-being. Although these activities require some financial resources, institutions can see results in the long term. Institutions have different responsibilities to society. Acting for the benefit of society is considered their social responsibility. In this study, the concept of corporate social responsibility is examined within the framework of definition and content, theories of social responsibility, reasons for enterprises to engage in social responsibility activities, and the scope of social responsibility. The conducted research creates conditions for concluding about the current state of CSR in Azerbaijan, as well as for finding existing problems and ways to solve them.
