Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to present the essence of reflective thinking and reflection on one’s own practice as an educator. This is because it is the basis for understanding one’s own actions and making sense of pedagogical activity. The first part of the paper is a presentation of contemporary literature on self-improvement, critical thinking, and reflection. The second part presents research on children’s creativity as an exam¬ple of reflecting on one’s own practice.
