Summary/Abstract: This article tries to disclose various aspects of the German catholic community in Romania at the beginning of the XXth century. Taking into consideration the fact that bibliography is not very rich in approaching this subject, I choose to deal with statistics about German catholics in the Old Realm, the activity of the German archbishop Netzhammer in regards to catholic community and the development of German associations and foundations. Even if German catholics do not constitute an important number of the population in the Old Realm, we discover that they are quite a wealthy community, organizing entertainment activities for its members and establishing a close relation with values of the catholic religion. Germans are not preoccupied about integrating in the Romanian society and they don’t reject others, but they become a model of prosperity and good organization, helping the implicit progress of our society.
