Summary/Abstract: In this article we address the problem of social maladjustment and re-education of children and adolescents living in problematic educational situations or even critical developmental conditions, and their possibilities to change for the better. The theoretical framework of the whole article is the phenomenological vision, which recognises every human individual capable of building and changing his or her own vision of the world. According to this vision, the educator in his action starts from an observation of what is directly given, that is the pupil’s behavior, in order to propose to him, with his active participation, changes for the better. The main author to whom we refer in this article will be Piero Bertolini, a well-known scholar and practitioner of re-education in the field of action in Italy.
