Summary/Abstract: The article analyses the sources of komeniological researches in Lithuania and highlights the impact of professor V.Rajeckas on spread of J. A . Komenskis ideas. Works of famous thinker of XVII century J. A. Komenskis are devoted to problems of perfection of human being and the world he lives in. Distinctive reflection of Lithuania’s education science - the attention to komeniology, need and ability to evaluate scientifically the achievements of other cultures and efforts to reveal their essential links with history of Lithuania educology. In this context there are analysed V. Rajeckas’ works, which disclose the perception and interpretation of the ideas of J. A . Komenskis in Lithuania and heighten the influence of V. Rajeckas researches in this field. Some conclusions were done: J. A. Komenskis’ ideas were reflected in the pedagogical literature during the period of Independent Lithuania. Often there were accented the didactic ideas, though some of scholars were under the influence of Christian thinking and spread it’s ideas too. Works of Lithuanian scholars and representatives of education science reflecting ideas of great Czech thinker - universal education in native language, upbringing corresponding nature, religion education, didactic, pre-school education - formed assumptions for further spread of J. A. Komenskis’ creation heritage in Lithuania. The significant role of V. Rajeckas activity in disclosing Komenskis’ ideas in Lithuania reveal facts that V. Rajeckas was the compiler of J. A. Komenskis works and particularly of book “The Great Didactics”, twice published during the Soviet occupation. By attempts of V. Rajeckas Lithuanian pedagogical literature was enriched with the works of classical sources in Lithuanian language. This stimulated investigations of education science in Lithuania. In the end of XX century V. Rajeckas was one of the initiators of scientific discussions in komeniology’s field. Lithuanian researcher, being didactic specialist, pointed out universal and harmonious education ideas of J. A. Komenskis; also the idea of consciousness of pupils’ learning was exposed and treated as one of the chiefly ideas in the thinker’s didactic. The notion about systematical education, based on knowledge teaching and learning also the importance of teacher’s role were emphasized. The works of V. Rajeckas in fields of disclosing and spreading of J. A. Komenskis’ ideas in Lithuania could be treated as a great factor of development of Lithuania’ education science.
