INSTITUTIONAL, REGULATORY AND STRATEGIC FRAMEWORK FOR PROTECTION OF THE IMMOVABLE CULTURAL HERITAGE

Summary/Abstract: The protection of the immovable cultural heritage is a complex activity, which requires participation from different stakeholders and the implementation of a certain state policy. For the protection of the specific appearance of а city is not enough to protect the individual buildings-monuments of the immovable cultural heritage. What is needed is a detailed strategic vision on the problems of the immovable cultural heritage, as well as a dialogue, cooperation and coordination among all parties involved. The aim of the author of the аrticle is to present the institutional, normative and strategic framework for the protection of the immovable cultural heritage in Bulgaria.
