Summary/Abstract: "Baroque in Music" is a fascinating topic, rich in similar and contrasting for different arts and personal stylistic manifestations, whose historical and theoretical issues bring challenges and pitfalls for the teacher. Its presentation in the Bulgarian general education school for the last century is the subject of this study. The approach of the leading Bulgarian music pedagogues – definitions, methods, tasks, etc., is the subject of observation, evaluated in relation to the world's leading scientific theoretical thought. The observations on the curricula and textbooks in the subjects singing / singing and music / music are focused on the middle and upper course, where the topics are generally more specific and saturated with more accompanying texts. The author of the study evaluates the achievements and weaknesses of the reviewed publications as a useful experience for music teachers, which should be preserved or rethought in the current system of school music education.
