Summary/Abstract: Major Alexandru Levârdă (1913-1942) served in Units of Light Infantry, border guard and infantry, where he let an excellent impression. Officer in perspective, he graduated the Military Academy in 1942, he participated to the battles of Cotul Donului, as head of the office of operations of Regiment 16 Dorobanti Baia „Mareșalul Iosif Pilsudki”. He died in service in 21th November 1942. He was promoted to the rank of Major and awarded post-mortem with the, Mihai Viteazul’ Order.
