Summary/Abstract: Peer appraisal enables teammates to participate in the performance appraisal system. This type of evaluation belongs to the modern evaluation practice based on 360-degree feedback. Peer appraisal reduces subjectivity in evaluation, but also creates a number of challenges for all parties involved. The article analyzes the theoretical model of peer appraisal in relation to the current practice of including more participants in the civil servant’s assessment in Bulgaria.
