Summary/Abstract: The article aims to expose the peculiarities of the use of transformations in the translation, analyzing the grammatical substitutions found in the translation of the literary text from Romanian to Bulgarian. The peculiarities of translation are described according to the theory of transformations in translation, belonging to the Russian linguist L.S. Barkhudarov.
