Summary/Abstract: This article evaluates discoveries belonging to the early Bronze Age Glina culture, from the southwestern area of Muntenia, a geographical area that is administratively overlapped mainly by Teleorman County. Most of the discoveries are surface finds, but there are also some from archaeological excavations, some rather opportunistic, therefore the information is less consistent. Along with a repertoire of discoveries, the main characteristics of the settlements and the categories of archaeological finds are described. Important are the 14C-AMS dates from the sites of Mavrodin and Vităneşti (Teleorman County). Correlated with other radiocarbon dates from Prahova County, the Glina culture seems to show a slightly longer evolution than the one formulated in previous studies dedicated to this topic. We briefly comment on the absolute chronology and its impact, and some limitations are identified, mainly caused by the lack of systematic research and access to a limited set of data obtained only from two distinct areas of Muntenia, respectively Teleorman and Prahova Counties.
