Summary/Abstract: The opera “The Stone Feast” by Albena Petrovic-Vratchanska is one of the first opera performances of the 21st century by a Bulgarian composer on the Bulgarian stage. The sound space determines the form processes and the dramatic construction of the composition, acquiring specific outlines and new dimensions. The opera carries a strong energy charge, and the stage realization turns it into an unconventional visual spectacle with “many Bulgarian traces”.
