STATE AND PERSPECTIVES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF BIKE SHARING SYSTEM IN POLAND

Summary/Abstract: Today, many actions are taken to reduce traffic in cities. The development of urban space, as well as the use of transport for everyday travel, have contributed to the creation of many alternative forms of transport, including bike sharing. In recent years, the bike sharing system has been subject to many challenges. The aim of the article is to assess the condition of development of the bike sharing system in Poland. The subjects of the research are Polish cities with bike sharing systems. The assessment was made with the use of multidimensional comparative analysis tools (cluster analysis and such economic development). As a result of the conducted research, the analyzed objects show differentiation in terms of characteristics that characterize the systems of city bikes.
