Summary/Abstract: In the process of the internal reception of the speech, there are several strategies making it possible to appreciate the speaker’s position and to modify reader perception. In the political speech of African nationalist leaders like Um Nyobè, Patrice Lumumba and Thomas Sankara, this intra-textual component is visible in the way of designating otherness. To this end, it is appropriate to ask how these speakers proceed to construct the image of otherness in their speeches. By resorting to interdiscursivity as an analysis tool, it is appropriate to respond provisionally that there is an intersection of allovisions between the European’s colonialist posture and the African one.
