Summary/Abstract: Journalistic discourse can be objectifying or subjectifying reality depending on the semiolinguistic observables deployed by the enunciator to mediate the news. By focusing on the Cameroonian presidential elections of 2004, 2011 and 2018, we plan to show how the media do not derogate from the principle of ethics in the process of narrating the event. So how do newspapers, in this case the daily Cameroon Tribune (CT) and Le Messager (LM), proceed to highlight the desire and the effect of objectivity? To construct the different meanings, we will use the tools offered by semiotic theory and the linguistic analysis of the press text.
