Summary/Abstract: The research object of the present text are story-based video games (more specifically – the game "Age of Mythology"), with an emphasis on games with mythological elements and motifs in their plot organization. In video games, the theme of the boundary can be approached in different ways, but the typical of the games blurring of concepts, lines and forms, of existence in the worlds, must always be kept in mind. If in strategy video games, the border exists as a purely geographical concept, in multiplayer games players play online in real time in huge worlds, where the borders are "portals" for remodeling into another state or "space". To move from one city to another, the characters must reach a "portal" that teleports them to where they want to go. Here the focus is on the abstraction 'border' and its experience in the act of video gaming.
