Summary/Abstract: This article aims to provide a critical evaluation of one of the inventories of objects removed from Warsaw during the Swedish Deluge. Of course this is not the only source material of this type which has been preserved. Inventories were compiled at all the stages of the transportation of these items in order to verify that each load was accurate and complete, which is why it is possible to find at least a few of these inventories in the archives. The source discussed here was divided into three parts which comprised: items which had been looted in Warsaw, items designated for the court of the Elector of Brandenburg— Friedrich Wilhelm I—and those removed from the Royal Castle in Warsaw. This source has not been published as yet, but it is an excellent example of the use of this type of document during the organized looting of the Swedes. Of course it also has its shortcomings, such as inaccurate descriptions or some dubious entries regarding the materials from which some items were made. However, when combined with other narrative sources and used with in-depth research, it constitutes a sound basis for conducting research on Swedish looting in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.
