Summary/Abstract: Jean-Luc Nancy, French philosopher and one of the most influential contemporary thinkers, died on August 23, 2021 at the age of 81. He graduated in philosophy in 1962 at the University of Paris (Sorbonne), and began his academic career as an assistant at the Institute of Philosophy of the University of Humanities in Strasbourg (also: Marc Bloch University).
