Study of the structure of expenditure under the EU’s common policyusing correspondence analysis

Summary/Abstract: The main objective of the work is to analyze the structure of European Union expenditure, divided into common policies and Member States using correspondence analysis. Expenditure on common EU policy areas is represented by the percentages of expenditure on different areas of a common EU policy by a member in all these expenses in a given year. The main hypothesis of the research is that the structure of expenditure on common policies of the European Union by a member is associated with countries belonging to separate groups based on the date of accession. To conduct the study we used one of modern methods of multivariate statistical analysis − an analysis of correspondence.
