Summary/Abstract: Dedicated especially to the idea of government by a moral elite, Chinese political culture is rooted in tradition, marked by the idea of harmony and realistic moralism, before it was marked in the twentieth century by propaganda, control, civic obedience, the cult of personality, concern for material welfare - to reach attempts to recover spiritual concerns in the beginning of the twenty-first century.
