Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present the process of bilingual education in a Polish diaspora family living in Germany on the basis of research conducted among adult representatives of the second generation of migrants. The background for the presentation of the research results will be the discussion of the specificity of the functioning of Polish diaspora families in Germany and the basics of the theory of bilingual education in an interdisciplinary approach. The review of the literature on the subject and the analysis of the research results will allow for the formulation of recommendations in the field of developing a child's full bilingualism and nurturing relationships with Polish and Polish culture through appropriate language education at home.
