Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on the quality of distance learning at the higher education level.The dynamics of the development of this form of education was fostered by the growth ofdigital technologies and the increasing access to broadband Internet. An important role is alsoplayed by the transfer (and universal acceptance related to it) of many spheres of human activityto the digital equivalent of the real world.The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic has massively forced the implementation of educationin this virtual world. This made it possible to implement educational programs withoutdisturbing its continuity. However, the violence and the huge scale of these activities call intoquestion the level of their quality. The publication presents the collected research results in thisfield. The authors are aware that the posted content is only an outline of the issues discussed.
