Summary/Abstract: The article examines the origin and development of the Kovid - 19 pandemic in the European Union and Bulgaria. The focus of the development is on the measures and actions taken by the European and Bulgarian institutions. Some main problems in the Bulgarian healthcare are pointed out. An empirical study related to health indicators was performed.
