Summary/Abstract: One of the most educated serbian personality in Timisoara at the turn of the XVIII and XIX century was the Bishop od Timisoara noble Petar Petrovic. First bishop od Gornokarlovac, than Arad and finaly Timisoara, was appointed as administrator of Karlovac mitropolit after the death of Metropolitan Moisie Putnik, and also was one of the candidates for the Karlovac Metropolitan of Timisoara Parliament in 1790. As one of the most learned of his day in Banat was enthusiastic supporters Josephinism forf ecclesial life opening theological course on Timisoara in 1800.
