Summary/Abstract: Оne of the most important bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Diocese of Timişoara, former metropolitan of Nis and Belа Crkva, Georgiе Popovic, was remembered in the history of the diocese of Timisoara as one of the largest patrons. In addition to his cultural activities, his pastoral work and architectural projects rank him among the most important personalities in Banat in the 18th century.
