Summary/Abstract: The article traces the consequences for the economy of non-working holidays. Different influences on the branches of continuous production, services, and retail trade and other branches are systematized. An increase in the price level due to excess demand was observed. Estimates of losses of national economies from additional days are generalized. The role of labour productivity, compensating for losses from the reduction of working hours, is substantiated.
