Summary/Abstract: The article presents changes in the global balance of power in recent years, withparticular emphasis on the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the evolution of theexisting international order. The article presents the most important areas of increasingrivalry between the greatest powers and between regional powers in the political,military, and economic dimensions, which may upset the existing balance of power.Changes in the structure of the world economy and new faces of globalization weretaken into account. Much attention was paid to the issue of shifting rivalry betweensuperpowers from the Euro-Atlantic area towards Asia.
