Summary/Abstract: This paper will highlight the way in which anxiety represents the mood of freedom for Dasein. The first section will argue that at the level of the „they” Dasein is not free, and the second section is an approach to fear and it will highlight the way in which fear oppresses Dasein and steals its freedom. The third section shows that anxiety provides Dasein with all the necessary conditions to fulfill its freedom and Dasein can choose between authenticity and inauthenticity when it experiences anxiety.
