Summary/Abstract: The Romanian Krashovani Croats are assumed to have come to Banat the 14th century. Their language belongs to the rarest Shtokavian peripheral dialects. After the Revolution of 1989, major changes took place in the localities where they had been living, and in their way of life, as well.
