Summary/Abstract: The present article aims at overviewing the main features of youth language in the accelarated process of borrowing words from English due to the massive influence of Anglo-globalisation upon our society. The constant usage of anglicisms în youth groups leads naturally to their assimilation and integration. The focus of this paper is to highlight some aspects of the morphological reception of anglicisms în both Romanian and German youth language, taking into consideration the different historical and linguistic characteristics of these languages. Overall, anglicisms have become undoubtedly a significant part of youth language, used especially to encode their values, interests and specific (sub)cultural themes.
