Summary/Abstract: This article aims to give a perspective on the use of anglicisms in the youth language. Youth language tends to adopt nowadays more directly imported Anglo-American loanwords through extensive language contacts and due to the cosmopolitanization of youth culture. The extensive influence ofsocial media determines a rapid spread of newest anglicisms among teenagers with similar interests, which facilitates a considerable semantic enrichment of vocabulary.
