Summary/Abstract: The current paper aims to present the contribution of Daniil Harms at the renewal of the Russian dramaturgical discourse, by analyzing the significance mechanism of functioning in the play "Elisaveta Bam", the prototype of his dramatic work. The paper discusses the specificity of the Harmsian literary discourse in the context of the Russian literature. In Harms' vision, the aesthetic formula of the integral deconstruction of conventional constitutive elements represents the way of expressing the idea of anarchy of the universe, anarchy that dominates the avant-garde vision of the universe and the human being. We can consider that Harms freed dramaturgy of prose and also liberated the theatre from the strictness of dramaturgy.
