Summary/Abstract: The following study focuses on the issue of parental alienation, which can often be caused by a failure to properly enforce decisions on the exercise of the right to respect for private and family life. Much of the current analysis is based on a recent ruling of the European Court of Human Rights in Pavlovi v. Bulgaria case. The paper also considers the measures that can be taken against this form of parental abuse, thus containing practical references related to the effective implementation of the legal means enacted in order to counteract this syndrome.
