Summary/Abstract: International Criminal Tribunals are tailored on the trends of international crimes in their jurisdiction. In time, they were replaced by residual mechanisms which are continuing the work of the Tribunals, in an efficient and reduced manner. These mechanisms are in nuce, international tribunals and their decisions are important for international community in the effort of investigating and judging the most important international crimes. The judges and prosecutors from the mechanisms are independent from any state or person in their judicial work.
