Summary/Abstract: Modern age, marked with technique and technology revolution and media development, which improve mass communication, bring us new type of entertainment and spending children’s and young people’s free time, as well as adults. Video games is certainly one of the most commercial, the most represented and the most popular activities that occupied attention of mankind. They are also subject matter of tireless asking of their influence on users, especially of youngest children. Parents and teachers are occupied especially with problems of video games, and they observe that isn´t researched phenomenon enough, with unhidden worries, asking numbers of questions about effects of playing video games on psychomotor development, knowledge acquisition, and development of skills and habits. The paper explains the basic concepts relevant to the understanding of the problem, the results of several scientific researches dealing with the influence of video games on the development and behavior of children and young people, based on relevant and relevant literature indicates the most significant positive and negative effects of video game play and gives a recommendation to they continue to apply video games. As all games, which importance in education and learning is good known to us, video games also have many advantages, positive effect on development many structure and skills, and if they are excellent and orientated designed, they make learning and communication for student and adult person with various difficulties more easier.
