Summary/Abstract: This article discusses a particular model of socialism. Particular not in the sense of authenticity or as a sui generis case because the ideology on which it is founded is clearly expressed, but for the original forms that come to life and that are being defined through the aplication of this ideology in practice. The article is based on field study, done in kibbutz Baram in 2007, one of the few that has survived from the wave of privatization and capitalist transition. This made the kibbutz a good case study for observing the process of transformation and understanding the causes of this transformation, "photographing" at the same time, what remained of their utopia. This article describes, problematizes and discusses the socio-political and economic structure of this utopian community.
