Summary/Abstract: The end-of-primary school exam was taken by learners graduating from the 8th grade in 2018/2019 for the first time. It is a compulsory external written exam which conditions school graduation, no matter the final result. One of the three obligatory subjects to be tested in the years 2019-2021 is a modern foreign language: English, French, Spanish, German, Russian, Ukrainian, Italian. Examinees can choose only the language they have been learning as part of mandatory classes. According to a ministerial directive from 2017, learners with Special Educational Needs are entitled to take the exam in conditions and forms adjusted to their individual psycho-physical capabilities. By the end of the same year, The Central Examination Board published sample examination papers adjusted to the needs of the following learners: with Specific Learning Difficulties; with autism, including Asperger Syndrome; with a visual impairment; blind; with a hearing impairment; deaf; with a mild intellectual disability; with cerebral palsy. As a matter of fact, having analysed the types of adjustments of examination conditions and paper forms to learners’ individual psycho-physical and educational needs, there are no adjustments of form for learners with Specific Learning Difficulties. The aim of the article is to discuss this issue with reference to the opinions gleaned from primary-school teachers.
