Summary/Abstract: The family is the first and basic upbringing environment for children. The educational significance of family depends on the components functioning in it in the form of emotional bonds within family members, home atmosphere and social relations between parents and children. Educational impacts in the upbringing environment are demonstrated in the way of unconscious, unintentional parental activities as well as in a purposeful, conscious and planned way. The parenting process should start from the birth of the child until their independence. In everyday situations in the home environment, parents should use multilateral and thoughtful parenting methods in relation to their children. Their effectiveness depends on the quality of life and the pedagogical culture of parents.
