Summary/Abstract: The article, based on theoretical and empirical research, discusses the importance of fairy tale therapy during childhood, particularly in relation to preschool children. The opinions of preschool teachers on using therapeutic fairy tales in their everyday work with children have been studied. A significant majority of the respondents (90%) express a favourable opinion on the importance of therapeutic fairy tales in the process of preschool children education because fairy tales help children in difficult situations. Therapeutic fairy tales (psychoeducational, psychotherapeutic, relaxing) help overcome many emotional, anxiety and tension issues affecting children. The teachers mentioned internet/literature as a source of their knowledge about therapeutic fairy tales and emphasised the need for cooperation with parents in order to achieve positive outcomes of fairy tale therapy.
