Summary/Abstract: The arms industry is one of the key elements of the national defense system. Itsstrategic character requires both adequate legal regulations and proper management at allits levels: strategic, tactical and operational. Over the past thirty years the arms industryin Poland has undergone a difficult path of restructuring and consolidation. Thispublication takes a holistic view of the legal aspects of the armaments industry withparticular emphasis on its shortcomings, which were exposed by the CoViD-19 pandemic,as well as the changes necessary to overcome the negative effects that have arisen in thisarea. Proposed changes in the law governing the overall functioning of the defenseindustry were based on a comprehensive analysis of all its dimensions and functions(political, defense, economic, social).
