Protection of personal data inside a Smart City

Summary/Abstract: A "smart" city requires first of all access to technology, in order to obtain as much data as possible about the citizens and people who exist in that perimeter. This information most often contains personal data which, in the context of the Regulation on the processing of personal data, may exceed the limits of reasonable processing in order to achieve the purposes. The article aims to analyze the ways in which personal data of individuals can be processed, taking into account the limits imposed, both at national and European level in the context of the creation of a Smart City, while taking into account the existing risks.
