The Usage Areas of Unmanned Air Vehicles and the Place and Importance of These Vehicles in Turkey’s Overseas Operations

Summary/Abstract: This research aimed to reveal the importance of UAVs and UCAVs in today’s World where asymmetric threats arise in addition to conventional warfare. In order to demonstrate this importance, the activities and successes of Turkish UAVs and UCAVs in their operations in Arbil, Qandil, Nagorno-Karabakh and Syria were emphasized. The backgrounds of these achievements have been tried to be analyzed. As a result, it is seen that Turkish UAVs and UCAVs have created a successful effect in these operations, bringing a different dimension to wars and conflicts. It was seen that comments were made about the success of these vehicles in the world press and some countries wanted to buy these vehicles. With these developments in Turkey, increases the impact on the region; It attracts attention with its new methods of war and attack.
