Summary/Abstract: The paper focuses on visual ideation in the creative process of visual development, i.e. concept art. It describes the process of idea formation and its transposition into visual information. The text analyses ideation approaches in the process of creating game and movie content. Explains context through history and art. The authors also describe experimental methods dedicated to usage and control of imagination. The paper thus tends to describe a part of art creation which is notably absent in the education processes in art schools and which is equally important.
