Summary/Abstract: This article introduces the results of opinion poll among the academia and social science experts over the TV news broadcasting of Radio and Television of Slovakia, public broadcaster in the Slovak republic. The sample of 40 respondents was interviewed in order to get statements about satisfaction with the current state of TV news content produced by RTVS. The survey also examines and tries to collect the attitudes to - what should be the content of public media broadcasting within the TV news gathering and who should define the public interest in the field. The survey was conducted as counterpart of RTVS internal representative opinion polls with the series of questions, but none of them was dealing with the analysis of experts towards the principles of public broadcasting.
