The Elections at the Time of Coronavirus – The Czech Republic

Summary/Abstract: The article is dedicated to the special conditions under which elections were held in the Czech Republic in 2020. The process of the elections was affected by restrictions in connection with the declaration of a state of emergency. Therefore, the legal regulations (or legislation) were also changed.At the time when the President of the Czech Republic called the elections to the Chamber of Deputies, which are to take place in October 2021, the Constitutional Court annulled several provisions of the Act on Elections to Parliament. Therefore, Parliament is currently seeking agreement on new legislation (or regulation).
