The Pandemic Impact on Shaping Urban Space

Summary/Abstract: The paper examines the COVID-19 pandemic (March 2020–July 2021) on urban space. It touches upon the issues connected to the potential changes in lifestyle, the influence exerted on natural environment, and the exploitation of renewable energy. It also presents the opinions on the plausible changes in urban space in the future when the pandemic is overcome but its effects are still noticeable. Since the article was written in the half of 2021, i.e. before the real experience of the pandemic world, large parts of its considerations are based on fragmentary research stemming from various sources.
