Summary/Abstract: During the recent years, security and privacy data represent a basic focus when constructing and applying the patient’s electronic medical record. A series of standards of the best practices and recommendations for management of information security, risk assessment and introduction of controls in the systems for management of information security were introduced worldwide. The publications dealing with security and privacy data from the patient’s electronic medical record and abstracted in Web of Science Core Collection (WoS) and Scopus databases during the period between 1999 and 2018 incl. were analyzed. The leading countries, scientific institutions, journals and authors during this period were outlined. The scientometric investigation carried out demonstrated an increasing publication number during the last years and confirmed the rising importance of security and preservation data when working with electronic medical record. The specialists designing the systems for the patient’s electronic medical record could make use of the present study and the summarized bibliographic and factographic information in order to detect systematized information about the standards applied worldwide and their usage in different states and institutions. The young scientists could enrich their theoretical knowledge and thus promote their research activity and future practical and applicable work.
