This article presents the issues of the 19th – century collection of cantos and songs for children and youth. The types of songbooks were presented and the content of more important songbooks functioning at that time was discussed. The article points out the role of publishing houses which they had on upbringing and education of young generation. The publishing houses were presented and their activity in production of songbooks for children and youth. Editorial forms typical for this genre of children’s practical books were discussed.

In the period of 10 to 15 March 2014, at the Library of Kaunas University of Medical Sciences, Lithuania, was launched the project Tempus Information Services for Quality Improvement Study, MISISQ. The European coordinator is Kretaviciene Meile. Seven universities libraries participate in this project from Moldova. European partners of Moldova Universities are: Scientifc Library of Riga Technical University, Lethonia, University Library of Debrecen, Hungary, Library of Medicine University of Cluj, Romania, the National Council of Student Organization and the Ministry of Edu cation in Moldova. Some new concepts such as diagonal configuration of points and its invariants are introduced in the present work. It is shown that the quadrilateral and the octahedron are concretization of a diagonal configuration of points and that the invariants of these configurations are analogues of the concepts of area of a quadrilateral and volume of an octahedron. The idea of invariants of diagonal configurations of points is consistently developed (an integrated approach is used) for 2-dimentional, 3-dimentional, 4-dimentional, n-dimentional (n> 4) space. Compact symbols are introduced in order to facilitate the general conclusions and to simplify the demonstrations, also the „triangle rule“ is deduced and consistently applied.

One planned to present a quantitative description of the Polish literature which is thematically associated with the problems of the computerisation of libraries in Poland; to define the dynamics of its growth across the span of the last fifty years and to identify – and to provide a quantitative description thereof – of the particular problems which were the subject of the publication until the end of 2017. One applied a bibliometrical method, and the source of data for the bibliometrical analyses was constituted by the “Polish Bibliological Bibliography” (PBB). The study enabled one to determine the time when the bibliological and informatological literature saw the emergence of the first publications which are thematically associated with the problems of the automatisation of libraries and how the dynamics of the growth of the literature in this field occurred in the years 1970–2009. As far as the particular problems are concerned, one indicated only the publications devoted to online catalogues, digital libraries and the Internet in library science. The study also facilitated the identification of factors which hindered or even precluded bibliometrical analyses – the latter were necessary for the obtaining of reliable results. The work was enhanced by the elements of the analysis of the “Polish Bibliological Bibliography” in terms of its utility as a source for bibliometrical research in the problems which are discussed.

A consistent bibliography, which registers the bulk of regional writing, contributes to the popularisation of the knowledge about the region. The bibliography which is developed in the mode of a current bibliography enables inter alia the transmission of information about recently published materials and it presents the publishing accomplishments of the regions. A systematic tracing of the tendencies in the publishing of regional literature enables a conscious extension of the collection of books and popularisation thereof. In the libraries the task of registering regional literature falls to bibliographers. Regional bibliographers perform a considerable role in the support and the promotion of knowledge about the region. By engaging in various forms of activity, the members of the Regional Bibliography Team at the Board of Management of the Association of Polish Librarians popularise the knowledge about their region. The purpose of the present article is to describe the initiatives of the Team, which disseminates regional themes by means of its activities. The bibliography of regional books, which is maintained by the Team members in a manner which is as systematic and comprehensive as possible, constitutes a source of information and popularisation of the knowledge about the region of inestimable value.

The article is devoted to the comparison of the quality of entries by means of information entropy. One itemised the key legal regulations which the administrators of databases must follow. One presented certain methods of intercepting and breaking passwords and emphasised the fundamental principles of safety, which should be followed by each computer user, including the mnemonic methods of creating strong passwords. One conducted an analysis of the security systems of identification-related processes of seven major banks.

Bjelovar’s libraries and reading rooms in the beginning of the 20th century were of particularly notable social and cultural significance. At that time there were large changes in librarianship that were connected with the so called Public Libraries Movement. The work of the libraries that functioned in the 19th century continued and their task was expanded. Apart from the promotion of national, patriotic ideas and Croatian literature, libraries are engaged in the education of the wider classes of society. This is manifested in the work of the oldest and the most significant reading room that developed from the officer’s casino. The Reading Room changed its name in 1906 to the Croatian Reading Room. In the same year due to social and political circumstances of that period, the Serbian Reading Room separated from the main reading room and began with its own work. There is also a Library of Jewish Civil Society. The foundation of public libraries in Bjelovar such as the Croatian Public Library and the Croatian Public Library “Preradović” was an enormous effort. It was backed by branches of the Croatian Society for Public Education, students and academically educated citizens associated in “The Croat”Academic Ferial Club. Public libraries interceded for the cultural transformation of people, and the forms of their activities were literacy courses, lectures, amusement evenings, and private and general problem discussions. In particular the function of public libraries was their cooperation with schools and similar institutions. They included the countryside population, and their members collected books by themselves (gifts, donations or other libraries stocks – duplicates). Bjelovar’s press was directly involved in the foundation of public libraries and the functioning of the other libraries and reading rooms. That is why in Bjelovar’s periodicals (Independence, Bjelovarsko-Križevački Weekly) of this time, there were regular noted openings of new libraries and articles of their importance were being published, and the editorship was involved in the activities of book collecting and admittance of new members. Bjelovar’s libraries created under the influence of the public library movement had been functioning for a short time but their influence is significant for the entire Bjelovar librarianship and for the functioning of the library of Croatian Educational Craftsmen and Workers’ Society Golub. In the future, this library will support the education of the worker, craftsmen and merchant classes in Bjelovar.

In the Scientific Library USARB was promoted the 11th time the International Open Access Week to Information. The university librarians participated in this Week offering a range of open access activities and services that supported the theme “DESIG - NING EQUITABLE FOUNDATIONS FOR OPEN KNOWLEDGE “. 22 librarians connected over 500 users to this event: teachers, master students, students. On Science Day (October 24), announced by the REM Consortium, librarians presented over 100 databases subscribed by the USARB, including the Cambridge Journals Online information products; Taylor & Francis Online Journal Library; Web of Science, access to these resources can be funded under the project “Modernization of academic library services in Moldova”.

The article reviews the problems and methods of combining big data processing work in a fully distributed mode of operation into the infrastructure of a technology startup company. In this direction, the methods of integrating an external distributed Hadoop system (cluster) are described in more detail. These methods are connected to the operating scenarios for infrastructure integration. The problems with traffic and latency are reviewed. A plan of the process of implementation and operation of a distributed Hadoop system is presented with the steps and indicative term. The goal it reaches is a suitable system for operational work on projects in a technology startup company. Then, it is connected to a list of measures in the different stages in a startup company's work. The problems with operational management of the teamwork with flexible methodology and system administration are listed, discussed and solutions proposed.
