Zabrana nošenja vjerskih obilježja na radnom mjestu: perspektiva Suda pravde Evropske unije

Već decenijama je marama ili hidžab tema šire društvene, a u posljednje vrijeme i pravne polemike u nekoliko evropskih država, naročito u Belgiji i Francuskoj. To nije iznenađujuće kada se uzme u obzir da obje te države na svojim prostorima imaju dugu tradiciju islama, te brojne muslimanske zajednice koje zahtijevaju poštivanje svojih vjerskih uvjerenja. Uprkos tome, ni Belgija ni Francuska ne djeluju odveć otvorene prema vjerskoj raznolikosti svojih stanovnika. Takav stav se često opravdava zahtjevima “vjerske neutralnosti” ili sekularizma. Neutralni pristup države religiji između ostalog podrazumijeva da niti jedna religija ne smije imati utjecaja na državna pitanja. Jedna od posljedica takvog pristupa u ovim dvjema državama je i zabrana nošenja vjerskih simbola na radnom mjestu za javne službenike, što – kako se u praksi pokazalo – najviše dotiče pokrivene žene muslimanke. Osim državne službe, zabrane nošenja hidžaba, odnosno drugih vjerskih obilježja, uvele su i škole, ugostiteljski i sportski objekti, a sada i poslodavci privatnog sektora, formulirajući ih kao zabrane nošenja pokrivala za glavu ili generalne zabrane nošenja vjerskih obilježja i odjeće. Takve prakse su u mnogim slučajevima svojim odlukama podržali i nacionalni sudovi.

Privatni prostor, javni forum: netnografsko istraživanje američkih muslimanki, pristupa i agensnosti u “islamskom” cyber prostoru

Ovaj članak se bavi netnografskom studijom slučaja i koristi fetve sa dvije najpopularnije islamske stranice američkih muslimana: Islamicity.com i SuhaibWebb.com. Prva stranica, Islamicity, pokrenuta je 1995. godine i vodi je Human Assistance and Development International, neprofitna organizacija koja je osnovana u Californiji 1991. godine sa ciljem “[pružanja] nesektaškog, sveobuhvatnog i holističkog pogleda na islam i muslimane globalnoj publici”.1 Pored objavljivanja vremena za molitvu, članaka o islamu i prevedenih izdanja Kur’ana, na stranici se nalazi i vrlo plodan odjeljak “Ask Imam” (Pitaj imama) gdje različiti naučnici odgovaraju na pitanja koja postavlja muslimanska zajednica. Na stranici se također nalazi i vrlo živopisan prostor za razgovor gdje su desetine hiljada korisnica i korisnika postavili preko 150.000 objava u pedeset i osam različitih podforuma.

Halka života

Ako bih trebala izabrati neku za sebe najvažniju riječ, to bi bila riječ kontekst. Kao diplomirana anglistica i dugogodišnja prevoditeljica, svjesna sam neprevodivosti određenih koncepata i ideja čak i kada naizgled djeluju slično ili isto. Svoj daljnji aktivistički i akademski rad nastavila sam također u velikoj mjeri fokusirana upravo na specifični bh. kontekst, pokušavajući u njemu razumjeti odnos između religijskih i rodnih tema. Jedna takva tema (sigurno najvidljivija i najčešće analizirana, mada smatram ne i najvažnija) jest ona o pokrivanju muslimanki. (Koristit ću izraz „pokrivanje muslimanki“ ili „hidžab“, pod čime podrazumijevam pokrivanje koje ne uključuje pokrivanje lica i šaka.) Iako naizgled dileme u vezi s pokrivanjem muslimanki postoje u mnogim zemljama, jedini adekvatan način da se ovaj fenomen razumije jest kroz njegovu duboku kontekstualizaciju. Muslimanke koje nose hidžab u Bosni i Hercegovini nemaju imigrantsko porijeklo, nemaju dileme vezane za integraciju i asimilaciju ili izazove oko učenja jezika poput onih muslimanki koje žive npr. u drugim dijelovima Evrope.

III. Rodna perspektiva - Pravoslavna tradicija

ojam antropologije u pravoslavno-hrišćanskoj tradiciji odnosi se na hrišćansko učenje o čoveku, njegovoj ličnosti i prirodi, a u širem kontekstu Božijeg plana i na ljudsko spasenje, pa se u tom smislu razlikuje od upotrebe ovog termina kao naučne discipline. Shodno biblijskom otkrovenju, ljudsko biće ili čovek (anthropos) stvoren je po obličju Božijem, kao slika Njegova. Tako u knjiizi Postanja Starog zaveta čitamo: I stvori Bog čovjeka po o b lič ju svojemu, po obličju Bozijemu stvori ga; m uško i žen sko s tv o ri ih (Post.1, 26-27). Čovek - a vidimo da to znači i muškarac i žena - podjednako u sebi nose lik Božiji. Ne kaže se, po rečima jedne savremene pravoslavne teologinje, da su "muškost i ženskost aspekti samog Božijeg bića ili da ono što znači biti stvoren po liku Božijem jeste biti muško ili žensko. Naprosto i jednostavno se kaže da su oboje, i muškarac i žena, podjednako stvoreni po liku Božijem". To s jedne strane znači da je nemoguće proniknuti u dublji smisao čovekove prirode van njegovog odnosa sa Bogom, a sa druge, nemoguće razumeti taj odnos u celosti ako se on ne sagledava u svom muško-ženskom kompleksu. Pošto se na hrišćanskom istoku o tom odnosu često govori(lo) kao o 'učestvovanju u Bogu' - koje nije "samo intelektualno saznanje, već stanje celokupnog ljudskog bića, preobraženog blagodaću, i slobodno sadejstvovanje sa njom naporom i voljom uma" - zbunjujuće deluje istorijska stvarnost u kojoj se o ovoj posebnoj čovekovoj privilegiji govorilo skoro isključivo sa stanovišta muškog iskustva. To ne samo da je ishodilo svojevrsnim redukcionizmom u teorijsko-teološkom smislu, nego i raznim oblicima podređivanja, nipodaštavanja i diskriminacije žene u njenoj praktično-istorijskoj realnosti.

Етническите отношения и международната сигурност в Централна Европа

The focus of the current paper is the ethno-religious processes in Germany (2000 – until now), in the context of national and international security. To acquire information on the subject, the methods of intelligence from open sources – OSINT (mainly via the Internet) were used. With the availability of so much information, it is important to „sift“ only that which is from official and reliable sources, in order to be able to correctly assess the current situation and create the most accurate possible forecast for the near future. First, the concepts of ethno-religious processes, national and international security are clarified, after which the focus shifts to the state of Germany. Brief information about the country is given there, together with statistical data (as of December 2022), which give us information about the current ethno-religious situation. In the subsequent chapter, a forecast for the coming years is drawn up regarding possible future threats from a „new generation“ to the national security of the country, and also to the international one, together with the consequences if they are not countered in time and preventive measures that should be are observed and implemented.

Çağdaş İslâm Düşüncesinde Türkiye Merkezli Siyaset ve Liderlik Arayışları

Tanzimat Fermanı’nın ilanı (1839) ile birlikte başlayan dönem içinde yetişen düşünürler -Şinasi (1826-1871), Ziya Paşa, Namık Kemal- Tanzimat’ın getirdiği yeni ruhu yaymak, yurttaşların hak ve özgürlüklerini tanıtmak bakımından büyük çaba içerisinde olmuşlardır. 1908 Meşrûtiyeti, bu düşünürlerin hazırladığı temel üzerine gelişme kaydetmiş, büyük ölçüde de bunların eseri olmuştur. Tanzimat aydını, Batının hızlı yükselişini takip edip anlamaya çalışan, kendi toplumlarını ve devletlerini içine düştüğü sıkıntılardan kurtarmak için uğraşan ve mutlaka bir şeylerin yapılması gerektiğine inanan, bunun için aklına gelen her çareye başvuran eklektik bir aydın tipidir. Bazı araştırmacılar, dönemin aydınlarını, modernleşme karşısındaki tavırları ile değil, siyasî bakış açıları ile sınıflandırmanın daha gerçekçi olacağını kaydederler. İlk grupta, siyasî eylemden önce mutlaka halkın aydınlatılması gerektiğini savunan, bütün gayretlerini Batı bilim ve düşüncesini halka benimsetmeye çalışan münevver tipi yer alır. Münif Paşa, Hoca Tahsin, Şinasi bu sınıfta bulunmaktadır. İkinci grup, doğrudan eyleme geçerek merkezi iktidarı sahiplenme arzusu içinde, kötü gidişe son verip, kafalarındaki planı uygulamak düşüncesine sahip olanlardır. Birinci grupta yer alan aydınlar, -Şinasi hariç- iktidarla uzlaşmayı benimsemişlerdir. Ahmet Mithat Efendi’nin (1844-1884) Abdülhamid’le uyuşması birinci tip aydınlar için en açık örnektir. Kanun-i Esasi’nin hazırlanmasında rol oynayan Namık Kemal, Ziya Paşa ikinci tipin kısmen de olsa başarıya ulaşmış örneklerini verirler.

Problems related to pedagogical methods and teacher training in religious education are dependent on the challenges of integrating religion into modern society. Cultural sensitivity contributes to the creation of an inclusive learning environment, which can improve student satisfaction and achievement.

THE UNIVERSITY CHAPEL AS A PLACE OF ACADEMIC EDUCATION

The article presents the Chapel of the Faculty of Theology at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” as well as two of its functions – both of an Orthodox temple with daily services and of a place of academic education for the students of theology. It traces the history of the creation of the Chapel, the latter originally established only as a place of worship for the students and later, over time, developed as a place of academic education. The Chapel is presented as a eucharistic centre of the academic Christian community alongside the challenges of integrating the new students into liturgical life; the educational aspects of the Chapel are also outlined – as a place of academic practice in various theological subjects –worship practice, homiletics (religious rhetoric), liturgics, Christian art. The idea of the need for a special place of worship to be used by the students of theology is put forward.

This article discusses one of the desirable virtues, kindness, its essence and types, its complicated nature because it can cause conflict and is realized in a merciless and imperfect world. The author pays special attention to an important element of the virtue of mediocrity, the requirement to forgive offenses by resorting to the postulates from the Bible. At the same time, the parable of the love of enemies is addressed, where forgiveness represents the forgetting of offenses and the existence of an agreement to establish peace. In conclusion, it is noted that kindness is not a virtue of the past, but a timeless principle that continues to inspire people to live a life characterized by compassion, empathy, forgiveness and love. At the same time, it is highlighted that at the beginning of the millennium we live in an era where discord, aggression and division dominate society and mediocrity serves as a beacon of hope, encouraging us all to extend a hand of kindness to those in need and to we promote a society full of compassion, mercy and empathy.

SABRİ ÜLGENER - ZİHNİYET VE DİN

Şimdilerde, renklerinin ne anlama geldiğini merak ettiğimiz için araştırdığımız laleler, tarihi süreç içerisinde farklı bir konumda bitki olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Edebiyatımızda (Baytop- Kurnaz, 2003, 80) ve sanatımızda neredeyse tartışılmaz yeri olan laleler, 14. Yüzyılla birlikte Anadolu’dan Avrupa’ya geçmiştir. Avrupa’ya geçmesiyle beraber Avrupa’da büyük merak uyandırmış ve bu merak, tam anlamıyla bir “lale çılgınlığı”na dönüşmüştür. Laleler, özellikle Hollanda ve Almanya’da aranan bir meta haline gelmeye başlamıştır. Bu çılgınlık bir statü göstergesi haline gelmeye başlamış, öyle ki bir lale soğanına bütün servetini yatıracak kişiler olmuştur. Bir pazar haline gelen bu çılgınlıkta her finansal metada olduğu gibi bir spekülasyon yaşamış ve Avrupa’da lalenin “lale devri” son bulmaya başlamıştır (Geçmişten Günümüze Lale, 2022).

Pardubický továrník a starosta židovské náboženské obce Bernard Schütz (1878–1958)

Bernard Schütz was born in 1878, the son of Jakob Schütz, a butcher in Lukavec (Lukawetz) near Pacov (Patzau), a small town with a strong Jewish community. In 1901, after learning the gingerbread-making trade and apprenticing as a journeyman, he became a self-employed baker in Jindřichův Hradec (Neuhaus). In 1903, after marrying Emilia Löwy from Vysoká Pec near Příbram, he moved to Pardubice (Pardubitz), where he opened a bakery specializing in matzah products and later founded the Mellekta gingerbread company, which became noted for its honey-marzipan gingerbread and chocolate toppings. On 7 May 1942, Bernard Schütz and his wife were deported to the Terezín/Theresienstadt ghetto, where he ran the bakery until May 1945. Unlike most of their family, they both survived the Holocaust. After the war, Bernard Schütz became chairman of the restored Jewish religious community in Pardubice. He died in Mariánské Lázně (Marienbad) on 18 August 1958.

The organization of Jewish religious communities in the Czech lands between the two world wars faced numerous challenges, as detailed in the extensive archival materials preserved in the Jewish Museum in Prague. The 1890 law established Jewish religious communities as public territorial corporations, mandating the collection of a religious tax to cover community needs. Despite the autonomy granted by the law, the communities struggled with issues such as appointing and maintaining rabbis, and the lack of broader organizations to coordinate inter-community relations. Efforts to create a unified organization culminated in the formation of regional unions and the Supreme Council of Jewish Religious Communities in 1927. These unions aimed to manage common affairs, represent Jewish interests to state authorities, and ensure the preservation of Jewish heritage. The Supreme Council also focused on social care, education, and the protection of historical and artistic Jewish artifacts. The study highlights the resilience and adaptability of Jewish communities in navigating legal and financial uncertainties, emphasizing the importance of preserving their history for future generations.

The preservation of archival materials, such as those organized by historian Jan Heřman, is crucial for understanding the community's role in Vodòany's history. The study emphasizes the importance of recognizing and documenting the Jewish community's influence on the town's socio-economic and cultural landscape. By exploring these historical threads, the research aims to correct past oversights and provide a more comprehensive view of Vodňany's heritage.
