This article describes the all-Russian scientific conference “International Intervention and Civil War in Russia and the Russian North: key problems, historical memory, and lessons of history”, held in Arkhangelsk, September 10–11, 2020. Co-organizers of the conference were the Russian Military-Historical Society and its Arkhangelsk branch, the Government of the Arkhangelsk Region, the M. V. Lomonosov Northern (Arctic) Federal University , and the Association of the Russian Civil War Scholars. Conference sponsors were the Russian Military- Historical Society and the Government of the Arkhangelsk Region. Established and younger scholars from 14 regions of Russia, as well as from Ukraine and Norway, took part in the conference and its proceedings. Conference participators considered the key problems of genesis, origins, and causes for the Russian Civil War, its modern conceptualization, the role of international intervention in Russia and the Russian North, results, consequences, and historical lessons of this war. Special attention was given to preparing of Volume XII (in two books), Civil War in Russia, 1917–1922, of the 20-volume academic series History of Russia and problems of historical and cultural memory of the Russian Civil War. Four sections and three roundtables considered questions of the dialectical relationship of international intervention and Civil War in Russia and the Russian North; of international, national, regional, and local dimensions of the Civil War; and of the individual at war. Conference participators pointed out the necessity of responsible, competent, and objective historical studies of the Russian Civil War, an attitude of care towards existing monuments and memorials, and strict examination and scientific expertise of new memorial projects devoted to this war.

9 kwietnia 2021 roku odbyła się online konferencja naukowa Europejskiego Forum Nauczania Religii Szkolnej (Eufres). Tegoroczne spotkanie przebiegało pod hasłem: Nauczanie religii w Europie w okresie Covid-19. Dnia 28 stycznia 2021 roku odbyła się konferencja międzynarodowa pt. „Judicial Law-Making in European Constitutional Courts” zorganizowana online przez Centrum Interdyscyplinarnych Studiów Konstytucyjnych Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego (CISK UJ) wspólnie z Wydziałem Prawa i Administracji Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego oraz Central and Eastern European Regional Chapter of the International Society of Public Law (ICON-S CEE). Konferencja poświęcona była prezentacji wyników badań międzynarodowego zespołu badawczego kierowanego przez Monikę Florczak-Wątor, które zostały opublikowane w 2020 r. w pracy zbiorowej wydanej nakładem wydawnictwa Routledge1 .

On 2 March 2021, the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (Urząd Ochrony Konkurencji i Konsumentów, hereinafter: UOKiK) and the Centre for Antitrust and Regulatory Studies, Faculty of Management, University of Warsaw (hereinafter: CARS) organised a joint conference, this time held remotely, dedicated to the implementation of the ECN+ Directive in Poland. The presentation delivered by Anna Vernet of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Competition and the key note speech given by Professor William Kovacic of the George Washington University set the conference within the broader EU and international contexts.

A XI-a ediție a Congresului NEPSIS al Mitropoliei Ortodoxe Române a Europei Occidentale și Meridionale (MOREOM)

The 2020 NEPSIS Congress of the Romanian Orthodox Metropolis of Western and Southern Europe brought together young participants from five European states. For its 11th edition, held between 25-27 September in parish „The Holy Great Martyr George” in Bern, the event’s title was „The Christian in the City”. With the blessing of Metropolitan Iosif, the congress was attended by His Grace Atanasie of Bogdania, Vicar Bishop of the Romanian Orthodox Diocese of Italy, who was the only hierarch physically present. The other hierarchs of the Metropolis of Western and Southern Europe participated through online platforms facilitating communication. The event opened with a Te Deum officiated by His Eminence Atanasie of Bogdania, followed by the blessing address from Metropolitan Iosif, who stated: „We are called to transfigure the world spiritually, this is the role of the Christian in society”. Then two conferences and several workshops were held online, and the congress ended with the celebration of the Holy Liturghy by Vicar Bishop Atanasie of Bogdania. In his address, the hierarch exhorted the young to become „true Christians in this troubled society of today’s world, like the Apostles whom the Lord turned into fishers of men and who preached the Gospel to the whole world”.

Franciszkanów pw. Zwiastowania NMP - największej barokowej świątyni na terenach Rzeczypospolitej w XVII wieku, budową której kierował inżynier wojskowy Jan Michał Link, fundatorem zaś był drugi ordynat Tomasz Zamoyski i jego żona Katarzyna z Ostrogskich.
